Melissa Dawn Tongate Brink, 30, formally of Hawesville, was residing in Las Vegas, NV, died Monday May 3, 2010 in Las Vegas. Melissa was born August 30, 1979 in Owensboro to Danny and Terry Pate Tongate. She graduated from Hancock Co. High School in 1997 and held a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Western Kentucky University where she graduated in 2001. She was employed at the office of Shea & Carlyon in Las Vegas. Melissa was preceded in death by a grandmother, Marcella Tongate and a grandfather, Franklin Pate.
Survivors include a daughter, Madison Brink; her parents, Danny and Jernelle Tongate, Terry and Mack Lindsey; a sister, Ashley Tongate; grandparents, Betty Pate and Ora Tongate; aunts and uncles, Larry and Sharon Pate, Mike and Mindy Pate, Charles and Debbie Rapier, and Bruce and Rita Tongate along with several cousins, step-brothers and step-sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home in Hawesville. Interment will be in Serenity Hills. I believe she was murdered in Vegas.....
