Burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery under the direction of Key McCabe Northside Funeral Home.
Mr. Crews who live at 4747 Main St., Route 2, Box 160, Hilliard, Fla., died Friday morning in a Jacksonville hospital. He was born in Hilliard and had lived in the Hilliard area all of this life. He was a member of and deacon and Clerk of the Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church. The body will rest at the family home, Route 2 Hilliard, from 4 p.m. Sunday until 1 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gussie Wolf Crews of Hilliard, two daughters, Mrs. Allapha Thomas of Blackshear, Ga., and Mrs. Gertrude C. Kimbro of Jacksonville; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Larson and Mrs. Minerva Carroll, both of Jacksonville; three brothers, Elder J.B Crews of Jacksonville, Caleb Crews of Callahan and Randall Crews of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Active pallbearers will be William Rowe, Josh Carroll, Andrew Carroll, F N Jones, Dormas Crews and Freddie Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Simon Cason, Paul Howard, J.C. Howard, Ollie Carroll, Wadell Nelson, Theodore Keen, Randall Dyal, James Bennett, Arrie Johnson, Charlie Strickland and Jim Johnson.
