CARROLL--Funeral service for Mr. Herman C. Carroll will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Northside Funeral Home, 4747 Main St., with Elder Hershel Griffin officiating. Committal service and burial will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery in Nassau County. Mr. Carroll, who lived at 1975 Faye Road, died Saturday.

A native of Nassau County, he had lived here most of his life and was retired bus driver with the Jacksonville Coach Co. with 35 years of service. He was a member of Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Carroll; three daughters, Mrs. Audrey Rowell, Mrs. Marjorie Beazley and Mrs. LaVerne Sumner; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Crawford and Mrs. Lettie Ratliff; a half-brother, Harry Carroll; seven grandchildren, Buddy and Doyle Carter, Mrs. Debbie Burch, Marjorie Lynn and Becky Beazley, Dana Higgs, and Larry Willis; and a great-grandchild, Sonya Burch.

Mr. Carroll's cousins will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call until 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The body will rest at home, 1975 Faye Road, from 5 p.m. Monday until Tuesday morning.
