Billy C. Gaston, 80, of Summerfield, FL passed away July 21, 2010. He was born at Windsor, Ill., March 13, 1930.
After his service in Korea, he worked 30 years as a Teamster Local #957, in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 39 AF&AM in Quincy, IL.; Scottish Rite Body ACCR Valley of Quincy, Ill.; American Legion Post #347 and V.F.W. Post # 10126 both in Lady Lake, FL.; 24th INF. Div. Association KWVA and CF 24th Ida Vets, both in Leesburg, FL.
Billy enjoyed playing in a country band in Ohio for several early years.
He is survived by his wife Zillah I. Gaston; a sister Melba Jeffers of Hannibal, MO.; close family friend Sandy Daniels, Ocala, Fl, and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service, The Villages, FL. Graveside services will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl with Military Honors.
