Mar'Sue Rundell passed away Monday, July 19, 2010, in Wichita Falls. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, in Crestview Memorial Park with Reverend Daniel Garza of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rundell was born May 16, 1912, in Gallup, N.M. to Lawrence Gardner Shanklin and Lena Stivers Shanklin. Her family moved to Wichita Falls in 1924 and she graduated from Wichita Falls High School. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and Midwestern State University before marrying Dr. William Kennard Rundell of Wichita Falls. He preceded her in death in 1958. She taught at Zundy Junior High School until retirement in 1977. Mrs. Rundell was a member of the Wichita Falls Medical Auxiliary, P.E.O. and First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir for many years.
Survivors include sons, Dr. William K. Rundell, Jr. and wife, Shirley; Thomas G. Rundell and wife, Charlotte; grandchildren, Lynn Maloney, Leigh Bowsher, Ken Rundell, Tom Rundell and John Rundell; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to Presbyterian Manor, 4600 Taft Blvd., Wichita Falls, 76308.
