Henry is the 2nd of 9 children of John Mowll Wrightson and Elizabeth Carfrae. Henry and his parents were born in Dover. As a young child, Henry immigrated to Minnesota, but the small family lasted less than a year, and returned to England. His older brother returned to the US as an adult, and 20 year old Henry (& 14 year old brother Charles) followed shortly thereafter. The rest of the family followed in 1892. Henry married Ada "Ursula" Nudd in 1899. Their children are Alice Wrightson Hoien, Elmer Henry Wrightson and Charles Thomas Wrightson. After Ursula's death (1929), Henry married Clara Plassenthal in 1930. Clara and her son Henry Frank died in childbirth the following year. Henry was the 2nd President of the Fresno County Farm Bureau, from 1920 - 1922.
