Alice is the 1st of 3 children of Henry Walter Wrightson and Ada Ursula Nudd. Alice was a school teacher. She married John Hoien (a Danish immigrant to whom she taught english) in 1928. Their children are Elizabeth Hoien Hancock and John Anton Hoien Jr. Alice received her BA from Univ. of Calif. Berkeley (Cal) in 1921. She taught high school English at Selma High School, and coached women's tennis. She was past president of the Fresno County Democratic Women's Club. Alice's cause of death was cancer.
