10/11/1946 People Rib Lake Herald, "Mr. and Mrs. John Mauch, well known and highly
esteemed residents of this Village, will observe their golden wedding anniversary October 15. High mass services will be conducted in their honor at the Catholic Church and an "Open House" will be held at their home in the afternoon. There is no doubt but what it will be a happy day for Mr. and Mrs. Mauch, with having half a century of happy wedded life to recall and relate to their friends and children, Dr. R.G. Mauch of this Village; Sister Fernadia, Green Bay; Jay, Mendota, Illinois; Norbert, West McHenry, Illinois; and Roman, Glen Dale, California, who will be home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Mauch, who arrived in Rib Lake 40 years ago this past February, have resided here since that time. It was a short time after J.J. Kennedy sold his sawmill to the Pennsylvania Lumber Company. Mr. Mauch immediately went to work for the new concern and was steadily employed by that concern and later by the RLLC, their successors, until his retirement five years ago. "John" held a position of trust with both concerns as a millwright and foreman and to the satisfaction of his employers..."
