Mr. Lane Schofield Anderson Jr. 70, of Wilmington, formerly of Charlotte, died March 16, 1989, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Memorial service is 3 p.m. today at Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church, Wilmington. Highland Funeral Home of Fayetteville is in charge. Mr. Anderson, a native of Charleston, W.Va., was a retired salesman. Survivors are his wife, Helen of Wilmington; sons, Lane Anderson III of Greensboro, Philip Anderson of Monrovia, Md., Roy Anderson of Wilmington; daughter, Mrs. Peggy Mathis of Greensboro; mother, Mrs. Julia McClure of Crozier, Va.; half sisters, Mrs. Margaret Barr of Shamokin, Pa., Miss Judy Harvie of Crozier; stepbrother, William Harvie of Norfolk; five grandchildren.
