ELKHART - Dolores J. Chapman, 64, of 1507 Cedar St., died at 3:31 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 9, 2004) in Elkhart General hospital.
She was born Aug. 19, 1940, in Parkersburg, W. Va., to Clinton and Edith (Powers) Brookover. She married the Rev. Joseph F. Chapman on Sept 2, 1961, in Huntington, W. Va. He survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Mark (Amy) Chapman and Bruce (Rhonda) Chapman, both of Elkhart, and Rex Chapman and James (Katrina) Chapman, both of Overland Park, Kan; five grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce (Jerry) Boggs of South Point, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Marie Chapman.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Blvd., and one hour prior to Saturday's 11 a.m. services at Northside Church of the Nazarene, 53569-1 C.R. 7 N., Elkhart. The Rev. Dan Cole will officiate. Burial will be at Susie Chapel Cemetery, Huntington, W.Va.
Mrs. Chapman retired as a lab technician from Bayer in 2001 after 25 years of service. She was a member of Northside Church of the Nazarene and was zone director of Nazarene Missions International. She was a member of the Toastmasters Club and was a former president of Miles Women's Committee.
She also was a piano teacher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the music fund at Northside Church of the Nazarene.
