Mrs. Mary Jane Marks, known to her friends as Molly, wife of the late Benjamin I. Marks, died last night at 8:25 o'clock at her home, the residence of her own son-in-law, John B. Hamn, 1209 West High Street.
Mrs. Marks was a native and lifelong resident of Petersburg and a daughter of the late Wilson and Mary Floyd Evans. She was in the 73rd year of her age.
Mrs. Marks had been in ill health for some time, but announcement of her death was unexpected to her many friends throughout the city.
The Rev. T. Roy Jarratt, Pastor of Memorial Methodist Church, of which she was a member, the Rev.J. Aubrey Hughes, a former pastor of the church and the Rev. George T. Tunstall, Pastor of West End Baptist will officiate. Burial will be in Blandford Cemetery.
