Per History of Lehigh County
John George died April 19, 1815 after an illness of 4 days. In his will which was made April 15, and probated in Allentown, May 16, 1815, his sons Christian and John George Jr., were appointed executors.
In the old cemetery adjoining the Heidelberg Church a tombstone still marks conspicuously the resting place of the last remains of John George Blose (Bloss):

John George Blose (Bloss) was a 2nd Lieut. in 1778 in the 5th Co., Third Battalion, Northampton Co. Militia, commanded by Conrad Reather (Ritter). (PA Archives, 5th Series, Vol. 8, p 226,233)

In 1780 he served as a private for eight days on the Frontier against the Indians in the 6th Battalion, as shown by the payroll of Capt. C. Reder's Company. (Ibid, Vol. 8, p 459)

In 1781 he served as a private in the 6th Battalion, 7th Class, as a substitute for John Reedy form May 16th to July 16th (Ibid, Vol. 8, p 471, 527)
In 1782 he was a private in the 5th Company of the 6th Battalion under Capt. Conrad Rader. (Ibid, Vol 8, p 510)

He received Depreciation pay as a member of the Northampton Co Militia (Ibid, Vol4, p 313)
