MCEACHNIE, JANET L. 76, of Apopka, FL, passed away at her home on Monday July 12, 2010. She was born in Butler, PA, married her sweetheart on 21 March 1953, in Buffalo New York and in 1959 moved to Orlando, FL. Mrs. McEachnie is survived by her husband of 57 years, William; her sons William (Susan) and Robert (Candy), and daughter Jennifer; grandchildren Robert (Kate), Kristian (Cody), David (Stefani), and Matthew, and Great Grandchild Robert; brother Fred (MaryJane); sisters Patricia and Susan. Janet was active in local politics, attended numerous Republican conventions and hosted a number of politicians in her home including former governors. She was a teacher's aide at Mollie Ray Elementary School for several years and was involved with the PTA for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved hosting family gatherings at holidays, traveling around the world with her husband after his retirement from Lockheed Martin, and playing bingo with her friends. She had a generous and kind heart to those she encountered and she was a pillar of support for her family in their many activities. A celebration of Janet's life will be held at the Aloma Baptist Church, 1815 SR 436, Winter Park. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., the funeral at 11a.m. and interment at Palm Cemetery in Winter Park.
