Mrs. Mary Brasee Hamill, wife of the late Dr. James J. Hamill, and daughter of the late Judge Brasee of Lancaster, died on the train while returning from Jacksonville, Fla., to her home in Newark. She had been spending the winter in the south at Naples, Fla., with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. James K. Hamill.
Mrs. Hamill is the last of her immediate family, and is well known in this city. For some time she has been in failing health, and for several years has gone south to spend the winter months,
She leaves several nieces and nephews in Lancaster and Columbus.
The funeral services were held Trinity Episcopal Church, Newark, Thursday afternoon at two o’clock. Mrs. Clara Towt of this city attended.
