Benjamin Moehle

Benjamin Michael "Ben" Moehle, 15, of Mediapolis died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born May 20, 1995, in Burlington, he was the son of Mike and Beth Loper Moehle.

Benjamin Moehle attended Mediapolis Schools and was in the class of 2014. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mediapolis. He was a member of Jr. Farmers 4-H club and spent many hours with his grandfather and cousins with their sheep projects. He was active in sports, playing football and competing in track and wrestling. He was an organ donor.

Survivors include his parents of Mediapolis; two brothers, Matthew and Russell Moehle, both of Mediapolis; one sister, Brooklyn Moehle of Mediapolis; his grandparents, Penny Loper and Bob and Ellen Moehle, all of Mediapolis, and Warren and Barb Loper of Sperry; and his great-grandfather, Mark Riffel of Mediapolis.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Mediapolis where the family will receive friends.

The funeral for Benjamin Moehle will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Kodis officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
