Mrs. Yost was born in Wheeling, WV in 1904. She graduated with a degree in teaching from Fairmont State College and taught art and mechanical drawing at Grafton High School in Grafton, WV until 1953. She then moved to Vero Beach, FL with her husband where she taught fourth grade until she retired in 1988.
After retiring, Mrs. Yost made her home in Blairsville. She was a member of St. Clare's Episcopal Church in Blairsville. A memorial service for her will be held there Saturday, December 11, at 2. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in memory of Virginia Yost to the Discretionary Fund of St. Clare's which helps people in need.
