Casimer J. Wantuck, 81, of Parker Avenue, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 11:42 p.m. Thursday, May 27, in his residence. Casimer was born on Dec. 27, 1922, in South Bend, to Joseph and Mary Wantuck. Casimer was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving in World War II. He retired from O'Brien Paint Factory in 1991 after 38 years of service.

On May 25, 1948, in South Bend, Casimer married Sophie Switalski. Sophie preceded him in death on March 31, 1990. Casimer is survived by one daughter, Nancy (Joseph) Zurbuch of South Bend; three grandchildren, Tracy Williams of Cassopolis, Mich., Joseph (Jessica) Zurbuch of Norfolk, Va., and Robert Zurbuch of South Bend; two great-grandchildren, Haley and J.J. Zurbuch. Casimer was a life member of VFW Post #360 Mishawaka.
