SABILLASVILLE, Md. - Diane P. Forrest Black, 57, of 17033 Sabillasville Road, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital.
Born May 27, 1948, in Sabillasville, she was the daughter of Theodore T. Forrest of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va., and Evelyn Green Forrest of Sabillasville.
She attended Thurmont (Md.) High School.
She and her husband owned and operated Poole's Hardware in Sabillasville for more than 20 years.
She was a member of Mount Vernon Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 398 of Waynesboro.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Theodore A. "Ted" Black, whom she married April 25, 1965; three sons, Paul E. Black of Waynesboro, and Karl A. Black and Eric J. Black, both of Cascade; one sister, Fay L. Kuhn of Smithsburg; two brothers, Dennis R. Forrest of Cascade, and Dale Forrest of Sabillasville; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one grandson.
A memorial service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Pastor Janet Comings will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade.
