Milburn -- William J. (Joe), 63, Country Club Drive, Ellwood City, died Monday afternoon, Jan. 11 1960, in Oakland Veteran Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. Milburn was a former resident of Beaver Falls. Born in Irwin, Pa., he came to Beaver Falls 42 years ago. He was a retired foreman of Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp., Aliquippa, retiring about five years ago, when he moved to Ellwood City. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Wurtemburg; a member of F. & A. M. 662, of Beaver Falls; Beaver Falls Elks; a veteran of World War I; a member of Col. Joseph H. Thompson American Legion Post, Beaver Falls, a member of Beaver County Fireman's Relief Association. He was a retired College Hill fireman. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Wagner Milburn; a son, William R., of Ellwood City; two grandsons, two brothers, James of Akron, Ohio, and George of Wilmerding, Pa; and a sister, Mrs. Phoebe Church, of East McKeesport, Pa. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today in J. Orville Scott Funeral Home, Beaver Falls, where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. by his pastor, Rev. Raymond D. Graham. Interment in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
