She was born in Marietta, Georgia, and her parents, Ella and Colonel Loudermilk, were from North Carolina. She survived seven brothers and two sisters. Ollie worked at Pine Crest and operated her own beauty shop for years. She was active in the R.S.V.P. program and the Women's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for many years. She was a familiar face and personality at the reception desk of the VFW club, every Saturday night for twenty-five years until her nintieth birthday.
Mrs. Sudduth was preceded in death by her grandson, Jamie Walraven and her parents.
Ollie is survived by her only daughter, Mary Frances Kane of Napa, California; her daughter-in-law, Ruth Walraven of Pine Bluff; two grandaughters, Karyn Kane Williams of San Francisco, California and Renee Hunthrop of Rowell; one great-grandaughter, Stefanie Clark of Pine Bluff; two great-grandsons, Justin Hunthrop of Russellville and Hunter Hunthrop of Rowell; several nieces and nephews in Georgia; two best friends, Letha Gary and Louise Harper of Pine Bluff.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 18, 2005, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Burial will follow in Cypress Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The pallbearers will be members of Post 4455 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Pine Bluff. The visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM Monday, January 17, 2005, at Ralph Robinson & Son. Memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
