Mr. William Roland Frye, age 97, of Wilmire Circle, Blairsville, passed away on Wednesday June 28, 2006. Mr. Frye was born in New York City, NY on Feb. 26, 1909, the son of the late James Frye and the late Maizie Chenet Frye. He was employed as an Administrative Assistant with the New York City Transit System for over forty-five years. He was A Veteran of the US navy of WWII. Mr. FRYE Was a member of the North GA. Honor Guard, the VFW post 7394, honorary member of precinct #4 Volunteer Fire Dept., volunteer at a Day Care Center, volunteer for the Handicapped, and volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He and his wife, Rose, had made their home in Blairsville since 1983. Mr. Frye was a member of St. Clare's Episcopal Church.
