Franklin Foght a well known man Lake Odessa a farmer living in the north-west part of Lake Odessa until last summer when he bought a house in Lake Odessa and moved here, died Saturday after an illness of three weeks.
Mr. Foght was born November 17, 1869 in Odessa township where he took an interest in civic and political affairs, being a staunch republican all his life.
On May 24 1884, he was married to Hannah Etta Garfield and this union seven children were born. The funeral was held at eh Wortley &Baine chapel Monday afternoon with the Rev. Dr. Shulls, pastor of the Lake Odessa First Union Brethren church officiating.
Surviving are the widow, four daughter, Mrs. Lera Blakely, Mrs. Verna Cooley, Mrs. Maysel Rush and Miss Dorothy at home, two sister Mrs. Ida Reese and Mrs. Ada Champlin, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
The pall beaters were grandsons Norman Hale Blakely and Clare Blakely, Edward Cooley, Kenneth Dallas and Roger Rush.
