Richard H. "Red" Decker, 88, of Pennellville, died Wednesday at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton. A native of Fulton, Richard was a life resident of Fulton before moving to Pennellville four years ago. He retired in 1980 from Local 545B of the International Union of Operating Engineers in Syracuse after many years as an operating engineer. He was a charter member of Local 545B. After retirement, Richard started his own business, Decker Sales and Service, which sold and serviced electric scooters for the handicapped. Richard was an Army veteran serving in WWII, where he was a member of the 3505 ordinance M.A.M. company. Richard was predeceased by his wife, Doris J. Decker, who died in 1998. Surviving: a companion, Johanna Hemmes of Pennellville; two sons, James Decker of Smithfield, RI and Charles Decker of Fulton; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be at Mount Adnah Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
