Jimmy and Dollie's first three children were born, died as infants and are buried in Campground Cemetery near Winthrop, Arkansas. Sometime between 1907 and 1912 Jimmy and Dollie moved to Vandervoort, Arkansas where Jimmy farmed and cut logs. They moved onto the land that Dollie's father, John Henry Cranfill had homesteaded. The homestead lies about three miles south of Witherspoon Cemetery. Toward fall of 1912, Jimmy hauled a wagon-load of logs to town. Upon his return, his horses were spooked and he was critically injured in a horse and wagon runaway accident. The wagon hit a tree. Jimmy was paralyzed with a broken back. He died November 1912, six weeks after the accident. He is buried in Witherspoon Cemetery near Vandervoort, Arkansas.
