Joseph Arthur Roberts, 88, of Blair, Nebraska, died Wednesday, November 4, 1998, at his daughter's home in Craig, Nebraska.
Joseph was born November 30, 1909, to Willis and Vesta (Pounds) Roberts in Dunlap. He graduated from Dunlap High School in 1927. He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where he spent most of his adult life until his retirement to Blair, Nebraska, in 1972. Joseph was a carpenter by trade.
June 26, 1932, Joseph was united in marriage to Verda Pinkerman in Papillion, Nebraska.
Preceding him in death were two brothers and a son, Douglas Arthur Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Verda; a son, Denny D. Roberts of Casseville, Missouri; two daughters, Denise Shaw of Craig, Nebraska, and Claire Berglund of Beaverton, Oregon; a sister, Altha Roberts of LaVista, Nebraska; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Frank Roberts and Margaret Achenbach of Dunlap are cousins of Joseph.
