She had Parkinson's disease, and was a former resident of Marshall, VA, and in later years, Culpeper, VA. She worked at Northeast Airlines in earlier years, and retired in 1987 from the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Federal Aviation Administration, where she was Chief Librarian.
Survivors include her son, John Lawrence Ransom; sister, Theresa Glynn of Boston, MA; nieces, Denise Dennis, Andrea Glynn, & Lisa Glynn; nephews, Thomas Glynn & Frank Glynn.
Graveside services were conducted on Monday, January 26, 2009.
