Obituary--"Mrs. Barbara Evonne Golden, age 72 of Stockbridge, GA passed away November 25, 2009. She was born in Carroll County, GA to the late Lillie Mae Davis and Allen Thompson. Mrs. Golden graduated from Villa Rica High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Riverdale. Survivors are her husband, Clyde Golden of Stockbridge; children, Linda Golden of Jonesboro, Barbara (Ricky) Thurmond of Auburn, Pamela Karr of Savannah; brothers, Siroun (Lee) Thompson of Altoona and Delmer (Alma) Thompson of Temple; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral service for Mrs. Golden will be Saturday, November 28, 2009 – 2:00 PM from the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Lacey officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Friends may visit the family on Friday from 2 – 4:00 PM and 6 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
