Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Ree Roberts Turnage, age 88 of Bainbridge, GA, will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Cox - Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Conrad Salter officiating. Burial will follow at Oak City Cemetery.

Mrs. Turnage was born in Quincy, FL December 1, 1921 the daughter of the now late Asa J. and Sula Mae Joiner Roberts. She later married Paul Gordon Turnage who preceded her in death. She was a member of West Bainbridge Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She has lived most of her life in Decatur County. During her early life she worked as a waitress at several restaurants in Bainbridge including the "Busy Bee Café", "The Plaza Café", "The Eagle Café" and "The Alamo Café". Mrs. Turnage passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by a large number of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters Essie Mae Love, Sarah Agnes Kennedy, Macy Roberts and Margaret Whitehead and one brother Benjamin Z. (Dick) Roberts.
