Mrs. Rose Coyle, 88, 217 W. Claflin, died Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. at St. John's Hospital.
Mrs. Coyle came to Salina from Gypsum in 1939. Before that, she had lived in the Meredith community for 55 years.
She was born Sept. 11, 1874, in County Cavan, Ireland. She was a member of the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
A sister, Mary Ann Coyle, Meredith Twnsp, Cloud Co. passed in 1946. Her husband Peter passed in 1941. Also, 2 infant sons, preceded her also.
Survivors include three daughters, Anna Coyle, 217 W. Claflin, Mrs. Woodrow Smart, Estes Park, Colo., and Mrs. John Kirkland, Minneapolis; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Very Rev. Armand Girard officiating. Burial will be in the St. Patricks cemetery at Gypsum. The Rosary will be held at the Chapel Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Friday. Friends may call at the funeral home.
