Jesse was a retired finsh & cabinet carpenter, who worked for a local new home builder. After World War II and prior to 1955, Jesse was a farmer with his father in the Mereta area. Jesse spent his whole adult life in Tom Green & Concho counties, living on the family farm and in San Angelo, TX., with the exception being his military service in World War II. Jesse was devoted to his wife and two children. He and his wife lived at the same residence on Parker St. all their married life. Jesse was a reserved individual who talked very little, except when spoken to.

Survivors include his wife Edith of 56 years, his daughter Cynthia & his son Lt. Colonel Ricky Hudec, USAF ret., and one sister Johnnie Mae Kohrman of Clayton, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. & Annie E. (Ripple) Hudec.

He married Edith Orsak on 29 Apr 1951 and resided in San Angelo from 1955 until his death.
It is thought that the name Hudec originally may have been shortened from Hudechec.
