Mary Estella Nichols was born June 10, 1899, at Dixon, Nebraska. She grew to womanhood in this state. In 1920 she was united to Clarnece E. Roberts at Hartington, Nebraska. The first few years of their married life was spent on a farm near Randolph. a year ago last March the family moved to Marshall, Minnesota, and it was there that she passed away Monday, June 27, after a brief illness.
She leaves to mourn her early death her husband, two children Ruth Jane, aged 6; and Lloyd Oliver, aged 3; her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Nichols, of Marshall, Minn.; two brothers, Frank Nichols, of Marshall, Minn., and Harry Nichols of Wausa, Nebr., and a sister, Mrs. Edna Preston, of Marshall, Minn.
Mrs. Roberts was a faithful, loving wife, a true helpmate to her husband, and a devoted mother to her children. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held from the Dixon Methodist Church last Wednesday morning. Rev. E. L. Corbit officiated. Interment was made in the Concord cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts is a second cousin to Tom Karnes of this place.

Mr. and MRs. John Nichols left Saturday for Marshall, Minnesota, after a few days visit here at the home of the former's brother, Allen, and family.
