(ROANOKE) Services for Ned Treadwell, 79, of Roanoke, formerly of Melbourne,
Fla., were Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at 4 p.m. at Rock Stand Christian Church,
with the Rev. Bill Phares officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Treadwell died Saturday, June 12, at Randolph Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Knight Treadwell of Roanoke; one daughter,
Janice T. Lott of Melbourne, Fla.; two brothers, Ray Treadwell and Billy
Treadwell of Roanoke; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
The family suggests memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church
Family Life Center or Rock Stand Christian Church Cemetery fund.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Treadwell was born May 13, 1925, son of Henry
and Elmer Brewer Treadwell. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Arrangements were by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke.
