Oscar Clyde Treadwell

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Oscar Clyde Treadwell, 83, of Roanoke were
Saturday, July 10,1999, at 2 p.m. at Rock Stand Congregational Christian Church, with
the Revs. Larry Conger and Wayne Cowhick officiating. Burial was in the adjoining
cemetery.
Mr. Treadwell died Friday, July 9, at his home.
A Randolph County native and lifelong resident, Mr. Treadwell was born June 6, 1916,
son of Henry and Elma Brewer Treadwell. He was a member of Rock Stand
Congregational Christian Church and had worked as a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Ora Adcock Treadwell of Roanoke; one daughter, Linda
Williamson of Woodland; two sons, James Treadwell and Charles Treadwell of Roanoke;
three brothers, Billy Treadwell and Ray Treadwell of Roanoke and Nedwin Treadwell of
Wedowee; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alan Williamson, Tim Williamson, Jamie Treadwell, Jonathan Gilliland,
Ronnie Clark and Benny Mason.
Arrangements were by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke.
