Escar Brewer Treadwell

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Escar Brewer Treadwell, 80, of Route 1, Roanoke
were Monday, July 11, 1994, at 11 a.m. from Rock Stand Congregational Christian
Church, with Bro. Terry Stamps and Rev. Wayne Cowhick officiating. Burial was at the
adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Treadwell died Saturday, July 9, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in
Anniston.
A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mr. Treadwell was born May 21, 1914, son of
Henry and Elma Brewer Treadwell. He was a member of Rock Stand Congregational
Christian Church, was affiliated with the Woodmen of the World, and had worked as an
upholsterer.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lois Walter of Roanoke; four brothers, Clyde
Treadwell, Billy Treadwell and Ray Treadwell, all of Roanoke, and Albert Treadwell of
Wedowee; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Danny Treadwell, Kenneth Treadwell, Fred Walker, Barry Walker,
Charles Treadwell and Edwin Swann.
Quattlebaum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
