Bearden Rites Held Friday
Services for R.E. Bearden, Jr., 70, a resident of Eunice, N.Mex. who died in Andrews last Wednesday, were at 2 p.m. Friday in Lunn Chapel. Dr. C.W. Bess, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiated.
Born August 13, 1905 in Decatur, he was married in 1935 to Hazel Cooper in Walters, Okla. He has lived thirty years in Eunice, moving there from Olney. He was a retired oil field worker, and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Wagner of Talala, Okla.; one son, Darrell Bearden of Hobbs, N.M.;three sisters, Mrs. Maudie Duncan and Mrs. Odell Hausler, both of Olney, and Mrs. Annie Wiechman of Wichita Falls; and five grandchildren.
Burial was in Restland Cemetery, under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
