Gale William Allen, 51, of 7333 Perry Township, Johnsville, son of Russell M. Allen of Bellville, died Oct. 3 in Morrow County Hospital following a long illness.
Born April 19, 1934, in Morrow County he was a lifelong resident of the Morrow County area. A carpenter with 30 years service in Mansfield Carpenters Local 735, he was a member of the Williarmport Grange, VFW Post 5101 of Lexington and the Johnsville Grace United Methodist Church.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Edna M. Allen; two sons, Steven W. of Mansfield and Gregory E. at home; two daughters, Mrs. Ron (Cathy) Setser of Johnsville and Cindy Allen of Mansfield; a granddaughter; two brothers, Donald of Galion and Howard of Columbus, and a sister, Mrs. Glenn (Helen) Jordan of Williamsport.
His mother, Glea Baker Allen, and a brother Carl are deceased.
The Rev. Joseph Roush officiated for the funeral Sunday in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Burial was in Colonial Memorial Gardens, Lexington.
