Pvt. U.S. Army, {RA16120335}, World War II-Pvt. Heinz was classified as Missing on 12-25-1944, and eventually declared dead on that same date in Belgium. He was assigned to the 394th Infantry Regiment of the 99th Infantry Division in which he was killed 9 days after the "Ardennes Offensive".

This Division landed at Le Harve, France on 11-3-1944, and assembled at Aubel, Belgium, and entered the line north of the Roer River between Schmidt & Monschau on 11-9-1944.

Pvt. Heinz is the son of Mr. Raymond A. & Mrs. Mabel {Doran} Heinz of 608 Hudson Street in Peoria, Illinois. Pvt. Heinz is a graduate of Spalding Institute, and attended the Unv. of Illinois at Urbana before entering the service on December 1,1942. He leaves one sister, Miss Virginia Heinz of Peoria.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, American Campaign Medal, European Campaign Medal with One Battle Star, WWII Victory Medal.
