Nora E. Mitchell, 75, of Sallis died on March 16, 2008 at Montfort Jones Hospital in Kosciusko.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Durant, with burial at Seneasha Cemetery in Goodman. Reverend Bobby Cain officiated. Pallbearers were family members. Southern Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Mitchell was born on January 29, 1933 in Jefferson Davis County to James R. Sanders and Pluma E. Hall. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Randall G. Mitchell and Stewart J. Mitchell, both of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Dianne M. Chance of Summerville, SC; brothers, Edward H. Sanders of San Antonio, TX, and Larry Sanders of Goose Creek, SC; sisters, Helen Sweat and Bonnie P. Frazier, both of Columbia, MS, Paula G. Speights of Oakville, and Sue C. Jarreau of Brusly, LA; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
