Sidney Albert Jahay passed away Feb 23, 1995. Mr. Jahay is survived by his wife, Helen, 5 children, 4 step-children, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He was born Dec. 20, 1919 in Fargo, Oklahoma. Mr. Jahay was a WW II veteran who proudly served his country in Europe. He was captured in Sicily and was a prisoner of war for 22 months. Mr. Jahay was awarded the Purple Heart and other medals. Commander DAV No. 39, member of the Steel City Eagles No. 3367 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 19. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Adrian Comer Garden Chapel. Ritual by Eagles No. 3367. Interment will be in Imperial Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.

U. S. WW II Army Enlistment at Fort Sill OK, Served as Private First Class, Parachute Infantry. He was in the 504th Parachute Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. Received the Silver Star and Prisoner of War Medal. POW from July 1943 to May 1945.

,Sid married Minnie Faye Qualls on May 13, 1946 in Montgomery County, Arkansas. They had five children: Martha, Margaret, Mildred, Lura Mae and Sid Jr. He was a truck driver for the large steel mills in Utah and Colorado. Sid and his second wife, Helen, made their home in Pueblo, Colorado after he retired from trucking.
