His parents were Elmon David and Buena Vista Cantrell Rigsby. He married Martha Alldredge on May 4, 1963 in Blount County. She preceded him in death.
He attended Eddy school. He did automobile detail work. He lived in the Baileyton area for a number of years.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, niece, and great nephew, many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Rigsby, an infant daughter, Sonya Rena Rigsby; in-laws, Newman and Ruby Mae Millwood Alldredge; and two brothers-in-law, Chalmers Alldredge and Sherrell Alldredge.
Graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Rock Springs Cemetery.
