CHARLES HULL
Funeral Services for Charles B. Hull, 80, who died on Thursday at 2:10 a.m. in the Fort Hamilton Hospital, were held Saturday, June 3, in the Proeschel-Crawford Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Kline, minister of the Redeemer United Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial was in Arlington Memorial Gardens, Mt. Healthy.
He was born in Downs, Kansas, on July 11, 1886, a son of Franklin and Sarah Ellen Burns Hull. He received his education in the area schools.
He married Ebbie Dora Fox in Denver, Colo., on Oct. 8, 1911, and to this union, one son, Charles F. Hull, was born. Mrs. Hull preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 1965.
Mr. Hull has lived in Hamilton since 1924. He was employed by Ford Motor Co. for 30 years and retired in 1954. Mr. Hull was a member of Local Union 863, International Union United Automobile, Aircraft and Agricultural Implement Workers of America; Washington Lodge 17, Free and Accepted Mason; and a 32nd degree member of Salina Consistory, Valley of Salina, Orient of Kansas. He attended the Redeemer United Church of Christ and was a member of the Butler County Automobile Club.
Mr. Hull was a member of Senior Citizens Inc., where he was active and interested. He was serving as master of ceremonies Wednesday evening at the center when stricken. He did much of the programming for the center's radio presentations and also activities at the center.
Mr. Hull was tireless in his efforts in compiling histories for various clubs. He also composed poetry and other writings.
He leaves a son, Charles F. Hull, Circleville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Miss Sharon Hull, Oxford, a teacher at Madison High School in Middletown, and Terry A. Hull, Circleville; a brother, Arthur Hull, Norton, Kans; numerous nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ed, Will and Franklin Hull; and three sisters, Miss Alice Hull, Mrs. Mary McCammon and Mrs. Ellen Ford.
