A resident of Patterson, Robert "Bobby" Reasoner went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2010. He was 79 years old. Born Dec. 23, 1930, he worked as a mechanic in the oil field most of his adult life. For the last 25 years, he worked with wood, weaving beautiful cypress baskets. He loved the art of woodworking and could make just about anything out of a piece of wood.
Survivors include his wife and best friend of 59 years, Lottie Reasoner; three sons, Robert Reasoner and wife Cindy of Patterson, Chuck Reasoner of Kountze, Texas, and Tommie Reasoner and wife Donna of Lafayette; a sister, Shirley Ann Broussard and husband Willie Roy of Sulphur; a brother, William Reasoner Jr. and wife Jean of Hackberry; five grandchildren, Michelle Auenson and husband Ken of Houston, Michael Reasoner and wife Jennifer of Patterson, Trevor and Sam Reasoner of Lafayette and Ashton Hill of Lafayette; two great-grandchildren, Sarah and James Auenson of Houston; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dogs, Buster and Tootie; and 13 granddogs.
We are grateful for the care provided by Teche Regional in Morgan City. A small graveside service for family and close friends will be Saturday at Roseland Cemetery in Sulphur. In lieu of flowers, please consider buying groceries or clothes for someone in need.
