Mrs. A.J. Maples died last Thursday evening at her home, two miles west of Loving, and was buried Friday in the Loving cemetery. Services were held in the Loving Methodist Episcopal Church officiated by Brother Grimes. Many of her relatives, including her husband, father, and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Purselley, several brothers and sisters, four children, and other relatives, and a host of friends and neighbors attended the funeral services. The Eastern Star Chapter performed their beautiful burial rites at the grave, she being a member. Many floral offerings were tendered.
