Thomas S. Freytag, 45, of Pennellville, passed away Sunday at his home. A life resident of Pennellville, Tom was employed for over 20 years at the Oswego County Energy Recovery Facility in Fulton. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the CNY Rod & Gun Club, and VFW Post # 5540 in Phoenix. He was predeceased by his father, David W. Freytag Sr., and his sister, Joni Lee. Thomas is survived by his wife, Jill (Jufko) Freytag of Pennellville; his daughter, Brandi Freytag; mother, Beverly Freytag of Pennellville; brother, David W. "Doobee" Jr. (Lisa) Freytag of Pennellville; sisters, Pamela (Frank) Najdul of Pennellville and Tammy Freytag of Arlington, VA; nieces, Sandy Najdul and Jenna Freytag; and nephew, Christopher Najdul. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pennellville United Methodist Church, 389 Co. Rte. 54 in Pennellville, with burial to follow in Pennellville Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Rte. 31, Baldwinsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be gratefully appreciated to the CNY Rod & Gun Club, 82 Peter Scott Road, Pennellville NY 13132.
