Ruth M. Heller, age 94 of East Haven, in CT Hospice, Branford, May 30, 2010. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Heller, Sr.; mother of Joseph A. (Irene) Heller of Essex, Richard J. (Patricia) Heller of Oxford, Patricia A. Bedard of Madison, Kathleen R. Heller of Guilford and the late Robert J. Heller; grandmother of Gregory and Scott Bedard, Wendy Perrotti, Richard J. Heller Jr., Michele Bennett, Lisette Korcak, Monique Parnoff and Eric and Adam Heller; sister of the late Ronald Clock, Howard Clock, Eleanor Story and Eunice Carlquist. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved feline companion, Lincoln. Born August 8, 1915 in New Haven, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Marion Gilbert Clock. Her mother died when she was a child and she was raised by her father and stepmother, the late Edith Dilge Clock. Ruth was a faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Church of East Haven and was a member of the Ladies Guild of the church. She was also a member of the East Haven Seniors Bowling League and the East Haven and West Haven WATES Clubs. She loved to travel, but her church and her family were always her foremost concern. Her funeral will take place from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. www.clancyfuneralhome,com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Haven Volunteer Fire Department, Company 1, 200 Main St., East Haven, CT 06512.
