Larry Patrick Lannen, CPA, of Irving (Dallas), TX, died on May 11, 2010. He was born to the late Richard and Rosalie Lannen, March 16, 1949, in Albuquerque, NM. He was the grandson of H. Marvin Marlow and Ada Marlow (nee Johnson). Ada was the daughter of Frank and Nellie Johnson of Houston, MO. Larry graduated from the University of Chicago in 1970 with a BA in Mathematics and received an MBA from UCLA in 1974. He married Rosalva Haro in 1974, and they lived in Long Beach, CA, before relocating to Irving in 1980. Larry enjoyed traveling the world and had a fondness for animals. He made friends for life and was loved and respected by all. He spent many vacations in Houston, MO on the family farm while growing up and with his own children. The farm holds a special place in his heart. He is survived by wife Rosie; son Keith Lannen (Jana), Prague, Czech Republic; daughter Tanya Swart (Daniel), Indianapolis, IN; and brother Richard (Virginia), Dallas. He deeply loved his friends and family and had many beautiful in-laws, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 13th from 5:00 to 6:30 P.M. at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home with Rosary to be said at 6:30 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 7:00 P.M. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 15th from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Evans Funeral Home in Houston, Missouri, followed by graveside services at 11:00 A.M. at Union Cemetery with Father Matt Rehrauer officiating the service.
