ANNIE TEXAS MARTIN; born June 4, 1894, died March 5, 1981. Married Joseph Thomas Carson on November 8,1910. They are buried at Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg, Va. In addition to being a homemaker and the Mother of a large family, Annie was very active in her Church and the community. She was a member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church for 74 years (1907-1981). She was a Sunday School teacher and played both the organ and the piano for many years. She also served as President of the United Methodist Women's Society. Two of her sons, a son-in-law, a grandson and a granddaughter's husband are, or were, Methodist ministers.
