Sidney Rohler, 20, Killed In Vietnam

WADSWORTH - Signey Rohler was like most boys in Wadsworth. While he was growing up, he loved horses and played ball. He went to Lincoln grade school and Wadsworth High. After he left school, he worked for the Wadsworth Brick and Tile and the Packaging Corp. of America. Then the draft notice came. On June 23, 1969 the youth reported for duty. A week before Christmas he was in Vietnam, a member of a reconnaissance unit.

Pfc. Rohler, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Rohler, was just 20 when he died Saturday on a combat operation with his reconnaissance squad in the norther sector of South Vietnam. Pfc. Rohler, a former Beacon Journal carrier, was the area's 334th Vietnam war death.

A native of Barberton, he lived in Wadsworth for 14 years. Besides his parents, he leaves brother Richard R., Wadsworth; sister Mrs. Delores Beech, Wadsworth, and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Guest, Wadsworth.

Services are being arranged by the Hilliard funeral home.
