Oscar's father, Munson E Wright, moved to Madison County, Iowa with his wife, Lucretia, in 1868. They remained there for 16 years. During this time their first child, Oscar D., was born and died in 1869. This was likely the reason Munson purchased Lot 24 in Fairview Cemetery, containing 8 grave sites. Two of these are occupied by Albion D. and his oldest brother, Oscar D. (who also died in infancy--FAG memorial #52989967). One site is occupied by a Melvin Whitney (death 1898). The other 5 sites are vacant. Munson bought property in Sac County, Iowa in 1876 and moved his family there in 1878. Their daughter, Winnie C., died in Sac County when she was 18 years old.
