B. F. ADAMS CHURCH WORKER 50 YEARS
Death Claimed One of Best Known Citizens.
Benjamin F. Adams, age 65 years, prominent Bloomington banker and stone man, who died suddenly in Chicago last Thursday night, was buried at Rosehill cemetery, Monday afternoon. The funeral was conducted from the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence E. Flynn, Bishop Frederick D. Leete, of Indianapolis, Dr. Joseph B. Hingeley, of Chicago, Dr. C. H. Taylor, of Greencastle, and the Rev. E. Boldrey taking park in the services.
Mr. Adams had been for half a century prominent in the affairs of the First Methodist Church, active in church work, and a donor of considerable amounts toward the church building and the church work. His death came while he was in Chicago to attend the meeting of the Methodist Conference claimant's.
He is survived by his widow; William H. Adams, his brother, and Mrs. James K. Beck and Mrs. Ella Telfer, sisters.
Mr. Adams left no will for his estate, which is said to be valued at $350,000. Mrs. Adams and his brother, William H. Adams, have announced, however, that bequests which Mr. Adams had often talked of making when he make his will, would be made from the estate. These bequests were to have been made to the work of the Methodist church and to other institutions in which he was particularly interested.
